Percifield, Doug

Class of 2023

Doug’s love for roping and horses started at a very young age breaking colts for his parents. In his early 20’s Doug started to calf rope at the amateur and Pro rodeos. Doug has been a member in the NRA, EIRA, ICA, IMPRA and PRCA. Doug finished his career as a member of the Senior Pro Rodeo Association.
Doug qualified for the ICA Finals in the calf roping for 20+ years. Doug was blessed with several good horses along the way. His favorite was a Palomino mare (Josey) that won him a lot of rodeos over many years.
Doug held a number of Director positions in the ICA, including Vice President.
Doug’s love for training calf roping horse was his passion. He loved to coach kids in both calf roping and breakaway roping (many have gone on to win several championships).
To this day you will find Doug down at the roping box, helping someone with their horse, or simply encouraging them.
